Joyce’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5: 28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I just found out that Dr. Joyce passed away. I used to attend her films at Lake Hiawatha library. I will certainly miss her knowledge of films. She was a very sweet woman.

Dear family members, I had lunch with Joyce about a month ago and I know that she was battling a relapse then. In spite of this she was upbeat and engaged. In the twenty years that I knew her as a colleague and friend, she was always a dedicated and inspiring teacher, marked by intellectual curiosity and interest in so many areas. Joyce will be greatly missed. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. I am out of state and unable to attend the visitation or the funeral, but I will be thinking of all of you. Dear Family of Dr. Joyce McNeill, Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. I am one of Joyce's many colleagues at Berkeley College. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting her on campus in the past couple of years, but I recall a host of wonderful conversations in the past two decades and also about fond memories of the Graduate School of Drew University.
