My condolences to the family. I was so sorry to read of Bob's passing. I worked on his team in Linden in the mid 1980's on the Isoamylene Project, which went to commercialization in Baytown . He was a respected and brilliant organic chemist who challenged everyone who worked for him. He was always ready to reward everyone for a job well done. May he rest in Peace. Anita Linsenmayer

Dear Mrs Michaelson and Family, October 6,2015 The passing of Bob brought sadness in my heart. I worked in his team for a couple of years at Exxon R&E in Clinton NJ He was one of the most competent professionals I ever worked with during my career. He knew how to challenge the people working on the projects he managed while encouraging their initiative. One was proud to be a member of his team. Years ago, a few of my CT track buddies and I met Bob for the first time at a NNJR driving event. I always looked forward to driving with the club because of people like Bob. His hearty "welcome you guys from CT", and something that resembled a smile with a solid handshake were always in order. His straightforwardness and no nonsense leadership approach were refreshing, and left an impression I continue to emulate. His example has impacted so many of us who shared his passion. It was my pleasure to have known him. My condolences to you and all those who love him. Jim Adelman
