Obituary of Anton Ilijic

Anton Ilijic, 89 Anton Ilijic, 89, of Boonton passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday October 4, 2015. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday October 9, 2015 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Birch Street in Boonton at 11:30 AM. Visitation will take place prior to the mass from 9 to 11 am at The Dangler Lewis and Carey Funeral Home 312 West Main Street Boonton, NJ 07005. Entombment will take place at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum 225 Ridgedale Avenue East Hanover, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Anton's name to the Make A Wish Foundation of NJ, 1347 Perrineville Road, Monroe Township, NJ 08831. Anton was born and raised in Croatia. He was imprisoned in a concentration camp where he later escaped from, coming to the United States in 1962. Anton was a Merchant Marine working for Boling in Elizabeth, NJ where he was also a long shore man. Anton was the beloved husband to Tomislava "Gloria" Ilijic for 65 years. Beloved father to William Ilijic and the late Ivan John Ilijic. Loving grandfather to Sibyl Ilijic Novak, Daniel Ilijic, Justine Ilijic Cinosky, and the late Christopher Ilijic. Great grandfather to Sebastian, Zander, Ivy, and Sawyer. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Sheree Ilijic.
