Obituary of Irene Barbara Crisafulli

Irene Crisafulli (nee Depta), 90, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014 at Merry Heart of Boonton Twp. She was born and raised in Montville before moving to Boonton.
During WWII she worked in Boonton Radio Defense Plant; volunteered for "Pink Lady" in Riverside Hospital; worked in electronics at RFL Labs in Boonton Twp; then at Hewlett Packard, in Rockaway for 10 years, and Transistor Device, in Cedar Knolls, before retiring in 1994. She continued volunteering at St. Clares Hospital in the gift shop, the candy cart and at the "Cast a Way" shop for many years. She was a member of St. Christopher Church, in Parsippany; St. Ann's Social Seniors; Slovak Catholic Sokol; the Red Hatter and the Parsippany Elks #2078.
Irene was the beloved wife of the late John Dzurny and former husband and companion, Jim Crisafulli; dear mother of Barbara Voorhees, Michael Dzurny, Deborah Abrams and her husband James, and the late Mary Dzurny; beloved sister of the late Mary Van Soest, Margaret Lash, Joseph Depta and Robert Depta; cherished grandmother of Victoria, John, Natasha, Samantha and dear great grandmother of Dominic and Brittany; and devoted lifelong friend of Fran Price.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 9:00 AM at Dangler Lewis and Carey Funeral Home, 312 West Main St., in Boonton; with a 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Christopher Church 1050 Littleton Rd, in Parsippany. Interment will follow at St. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery, in Boonton. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 3-7 PM at the funeral home.
