Obituary of Anthony S Lanza

Anthony Lanza, 93 Boonton Township, NJ Anthony Lanza, 93, of Boonton Township passed away on Sunday June 12, 2016 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover. Anthony was born and raised in Morristown before moving to Boonton Township in 1951. Anthony worked for the Mountain Lakes Road Department for many years, prior to that he worked with his family at Evergreen Wine and Liquors in Morristown. Anthony was a proud member of the US Navy serving during WWII where he received the American Theater Medal, European Medal, Asiatic Pacific Medal with 4 stars, and the Victory Medal. Anthony was the beloved husband of the late Pauline (nee DiFiore) Lanza. Devoted father of Theresa Schwartz and her husband Roger. Loving brother of Johanna Ronco and the late Mary Cifrese, Michael Lanza, Joseph Lanza, Ursula Lanza, and Gilda Helmken. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting will take place on Wednesday June 15, 2016 from 4 to 8 PM at the Dangler Lewis & Carey Funeral Home 312 West Main Street, Boonton, NJ 07005. Funeral Services will take place 10:00 AM Thursday at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery 225 Ridgedale Avenue East Hanover NJ 07936. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Anthony's name to the Mount Pleasant Animal Shelter 194 Route 10 East Hanover, NJ 07936
