John E. Zabriskie, 91 Stroudsburg, PA John Zabriskie, 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 12, 2014 in Stroudsburg, PA. He was born and raised in Boonton before moving to Stroudsburg 20 years ago. John proudly served in the US Navy during WWII . He was an Electronic Supervisor and retired from RFL Radio Frequency Labs in Boonton Township. He was a member of the Boonton VFW post 242, Boonton Sokol Club and the Barber Shop Quartette in Boonton. John is the beloved husband of Zella Zabriskie (nee Hopping ); loving father of Kathryn Sartori and her husband Dan, John E. Zabriskie "Skip" and his wife Cindy, Step father of Al Metz and his wife Peggy; dear brother of Frank Zabriskie and his wife Dot; cherished grandfather of Desiree, Catherine, John Jr, Cassandra, Debbie, Jennifer, and Timmy; dear great-great grandfather of 7. He was predeceased by his late wife Mary (O'Grady) Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 9:00 Am at Dangler Lewis and Carey Funeral Home, 312 West Main Street, Boonton, NJ, with a funeral mass at 10:00AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, in Boonton. Interment will follow at St. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery, in Boonton. Visiting will be from 4-8 PM on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the funeral home.
