Obituary of Roger E. Levin

Roger E. Levin, 81, of Boonton, passed away on September 20, 2021 at Chilton Hospital in Pequannock. Born in Morristown, Roger was a lifelong resident of Boonton.

Prior to his retirement, Roger worked as a warehouse foreman at Sandoz Pharmaceuticals in Florham Park. Roger served as a coach for the Boonton/Mt. Lakes Grayhawks and Boonton High School coaching staff, when they won the State Championship in 2003. Roger’s greatest joy was taking his entire family on vacation to Disney and Ocean City, MD. He loved the Giants, Mets and Rangers. Roger also volunteered at Victoria Mews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2021, from 2-6 PM at the Dangler Lewis and Carey Funeral Home. 312 West Main Street, Boonton, NJ 07005. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 27, 2021 at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 10 N. Pocono Rd., Mt. Lakes, NJ 07046. Interment will follow immediately at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Wootton Street in Boonton.

Roger is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Nancy (nee Lato) Levin; his loving children David (Kelly) Levin, Donna Price (fiancé Ron Hyndman), Daniel (Pamela) Levin, Ronald (Jackie) Levin, and Michael (Julie) Levin; his cherished grandchildren D.J., Jamie, Jessica, Zachary, Kaitlan, Allison, Carlina, Julianna, Morgan, Maximus, Mia and Matthew; his caring brother Bruce (Gail) Levin. Roger was predeceased by his brother David Levin.
