Helen C. Bolcar, 95, of Boonton

Helen C. Bolcar, 95, of Boonton, passed away on January 31, 2020 at Boonton Care Center in Boonton Township. Helen was born in, and was a lifelong resident of Boonton.

Prior to her retirement, Helen was a bank teller at People’s National Bank in Denville. Helen was extremely active in her community. She was a member of the Boonton Catholic Sokol Lodge, the Padre Pio prayer group, Catholic Daughters of America and she was a Dominican Associate. In her beloved Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Helen was a Eucharistic Minister, Lector and a member of the OLMC choir since the tender age of 9.

Helen is survived by her loving sons Edward J. Bolcar Jr. (Donna) and Paul Bolcar (Pamela); her devoted sister Edith Aquino; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Edward J. Bolcar Sr. and her caring brother Louis Croce.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 7, 2020, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 910 Birch Street, Boonton, NJ 07005. Interment will follow immediately at St. Mary’s Cemetery on Wootton Street in Boonton. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Helen’s name to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at the above address.
