Obituary of Joan Patricia Kenney

Joan Patricia Kenney, 91, of Boonton passed away on July 8, 2019 at her residence. Joan was born in the Bronx, New York and was raised in Maplewood before settling in Boonton in 1957.

Joan was a proud homemaker. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Boonton.  

Joan is survived by her loving daughter Susan M. Kenney and her caring son-in-law Roy Chassey; her nieces Allison Fiorino and Carolyn Day. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Charles Kenney; her loving children Charles M. Kenney III and Patricia Kenney Chassey; and her brother Vincent Tortoriello.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 9:30 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 10 North Pocono Road, Mountain Lakes, NJ 07046. Inurnment will follow immediately at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Boonton.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Boonton Kiwanis First Aid Squad, PO Box 16, Boonton, NJ 07005
